Working with Wood

I started experimenting with woodworking by making custom frames for my paintings. Eventually, I branched out into making small, minimalistic boxes. It has been and continues to be, a long, hard  journey. I learn from my many, many mistakes and no matter how many times I measure I usually have to cut twice. Wood is not a very forgiving medium, but I enjoy working with it.

I make each box by hand, using a very methodical process. They are made with pine wood and come in two natural shades. Each box is varnished (inside and out), which offers protection from small amounts of water.

They are very versatile and can be used for...well, anything!

They make ideal planters for succulents and cacti and look great on a sunny window sill or shelf.
